James Belcher
Chief Operating Officer
Born and raised in Cambridgeshire, with a background in data management and systems analysis, I joined the company in 2014, and I have loved every minute of the journey - from the original L2S2 Ltd to today’s Camgenium.
As Operations Manager, my role provides me with the variety and challenge I relish: from customer support to operational troubleshooting; from precise project management to planning for the future development of the company - no two days are the same.
My particular expertise lies in the governance of medical data systems and in my ability to translate policy into practice. For me, the most rewarding part of the job is that moment when we know we have succeeded as a whole team in delivering an innovative customer solution that transforms their vision into a sustainable reality.
In my spare time, I ride horses and paddle board, both in competitive and collaborative events. I recently completed the Loire 725km race on my inflatable SUP in six days.
People who know me well know that I never like to stay still for long and am always looking for the next challenge, the next adventure, and that I have an innate passion for precision and excellence - which is why I’ve stayed with the company for so long: Camgenium provides the ideal environment for technological innovation and precise technical mastery for anyone wishing to push the boundaries of their own achievement.
Dr Olga Zadvorna
Applications Manager
Originally from Ukraine, I studied Physics at Oxford before moving to Cambridge to complete my PhD. I joined L2S2 Ltd, now Camgenium, in 2020 with a mission to help clinicians be more efficient with their valuable time and ever-shrinking resources. I am passionate about creating MedTech solutions that help doctors, nurses and hospitals access more patients and deliver better outcomes globally.
Problem solving was at the heart of my undergraduate and postgraduate studies and I still enjoy tackling complex, highly interdependent issues, which the world of Medicine is so full of!
I work with Customers and the L2S2 teams to produce medical device software as well as SaMD applications. Day-to-day, I design and build prototypes and products; head up the Applications team; write requirements, architecture, design, and other medical device documentation – a healthy mixture of technical and non-technical work! I particularly enjoy collaborating with the different teams at Camgenium as delivering a successful solution would be impossible without the input from many of our brilliant members.
What I love about working at Camgenium is the friendly team, supportive environment and the meaningful work.

Gareth Long
Principal Platform Architect
I've been responsible for Camgenium's Soft Silicon platform since July 2021. I’ve led platform architecture, development, team and project management in the UK, Singapore and Germany. Previously, this included: Connected 3D-accelerated video platforms within the gaming industry. Iconic handset platforms and products at Sendo, Motorola, Symbian. Platform, connectivity and LTE/5G technologies at Texas Instruments and Intel. Smart-card/digital crypto-currency architecture at TransaXiom, Sports wearable platform/device development/positioning technology/security at TomTom, I created an IoT platform and consumer products for Electrolux, and a next-generation wearable non-invasive blood glucose device platform at GlucoRx.
I design the architecture of medical device platforms: The blueprint and building blocks forming the structure of a range of devices over the platform’s life; their function, how they connect with other devices, handle adverse conditions, security breach attempts, use minimal energy, and so on. I find ways to predict the broad challenges medical devices face, using technologies exceeding current requirements in anticipation of what may come further along the platform’s lifecycle. Basically, I try to think of ways to make gadgets do super cool stuff now, that’ll still be cool in years.
I've been asked for advice that I would give to someone that's interested in working with Camgenium. It may sound obvious but be passionate about or find passion in what you do. It’s obvious when you are, and you’ll enjoy the company of similar people here.
Importantly, though, you need to apply, or we’re not going to know.
